Walk out the front door of the airport and you will see a line of cabs in all sorts of colors waiting to take you to your RV rental location. Look for reputable cab services. Licensed taxi services are not allowed to solicit your business. Avoid anyone not in uniform that offers to help you with your baggage, oftentimes these people are unlicensed and uninsured. Visit the Port Authority Welcome Center where uniformed staff will be happy to assist you.
- Van service – Depending on the number of people traveling with you a van service may be a better option for you. You can book your van service in advance to take you from the Newark Airport (EWR) to your RV rental location or this can be booked from the Port Authority Welcome Center. If the Welcome Center is closed there is a self-serve kiosk available nearby. Check out ETS Airport Shuttle and Carmel Limo for more information.
- Public transit – the most affordable option is always public transit. While this option will take you longer and require a little more organization it is always the best for the pocketbook. AirTrain Newark connects NJ Transit and AmTrak with Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Newark Airport bus system will transport you from the airport into Manhattan, and the New Jersey Transit has trains and buses to take you all over New Jersey.
