  • Cathedral Gorge – this park does not have all the amenities of some of the other parks on this list, but the beauty of it surpasses the need of the amenities. The soft bentonite clay rock formations were created by layers of volcanic ash and has formed cave like formations and the cathedral like spires that make up this park.   • Hilltop Campground – This is what I think of when I think camping. This campground boasts beautiful views, fire pits, hiking and horseback riding. There are no shower facilities but they do have porta-potties available.

Places to fly in and out of in Las Vegas

Before you pick up your rental RV, you will need to get to the RV rental location from the airport. The easiest way to to take a taxi cab. If you would like to save a little money you could use public transportation, or you could arrive in style at the RV rental location and take a limousine.

  • McCarran International Airport (LAS) – McCarran International Airport (LAS) is not actually located in Las Vegas, it’s located outside Las Vegas in Paradise. The Las Vegas Strip is actually not located in Las Vegas either, it is also in Paradise. The Las Vegas Airport is only one of two airports in the world to have slot machines, so even if you are coming to Las Vegas to rent an RV, you will still be able to fit in a little time for gambling. 5757 Wayne Newton Blvd, Las Vegas Nevada.

Getting from the airport to your RV Rental

Whether you are going to your hotel or straight to the RV rental location you will need to consider how to get there.

  • Limo – why not rent a limo, you are in Vegas after all. Stretch limousines and SUVs are available curbside on the west side of the baggage claim. If you arrange your limo in advance the limo driver will meet you at the baggage claim and help you with your luggage.
  • Shuttles – shuttles are also available outside baggage claim on the west side. While shuttles are more economical, you will be sharing a van or bus with 6-20 people. These shuttles will make multiple stops along the way as they drop off other passengers, so sit back relax and do a little people watching.
  • Taxi – the Las Vegas Airport is serviced by 10 taxicab companies, all of which are regulated by the State of Nevada, which is responsible for setting rates. Taxis are waiting for you on the east side of the baggage claim.

Places to Eat in Las Vegas

From cheap buffet fare to world class dining, Las Vegas has a restaurant for whatever you are feeling. Even if you are staying in an a rental RV it’s always nice to treat yourself to a great meal out.

  • The Heart Attack Grill – this hospital themed restaurant has waitresses dressed as nurses, prides itself on heart attacks on a plate, with meals like the Quadruple Bypass Burger and Flatliner Fries. Where to Pick up the Essentials in Las Vegas

  • Million Dollar Photo – take a free picture of you and one million dollars at Binion’s Gambling Hall. 128 Fremont Street, Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Neon Museum – take a tour through a graveyard of old Las Vegas neon signs from casinos that are gone but not forgotten. 770 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Banger Brewing Tour – located at the base of the zipline on Fremont Street, this company offers free tours for craft beer lovers. They are even determined to make lovers out of those who are not yet fans of craft beer. 450 Fremont Street #135, Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Gold and Silver Pawn Shop – what is a trip to Las Vegas without a visit to a pawn shop. This pawn shop was made famous by the TV show Pawn Stars. You may see one of the TV shows stars or you may come across a fabulous find that someone else has pawned trying to turn their losing streak around.   • Red Rock Canyon – encompassing almost 200,000 acres of the Mojave Desert, visitors can hiking the many miles of marked trails and view the rock formations millions of years in the making. Located about 20 miles west of Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Botanical Garden – seems like an odd combination. Check out how small batch chocolate making is done. Then walk through the largest cactus garden in the southwest. Things to do with Kids in Las Vegas

While kids are usually happy spending their RV rental vacation hanging out by the water and sitting by the campfire, sometimes you want to spend some time away from your RV rental and try a new adventure. Las Vegas used to only be known for its world class gambling, shopping and fine dinning, but it has since become a known as a family destination.

  • Comedy Pet Theater – jugglers and clowns are joined on stage by a very well trained cast of 15 cats and 10 dogs in this pet comedy for the whole family.   • Discovery Children’s Museum – a great interactive location where kids can learn and climb. There is a pirate ship, a castle and a stage and costumes to go along with it all. 360 Promenade Place, Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Adventuredome – this indoor amusement park is air-conditioned, perfect for those hot afternoons in Las Vegas. Laser tag, arcade games, rides and clown shows all under one roof at Circus Circus. 2880 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas Nevada.
  • Mob Museum – investigate the role organized crime played in the history of Las Vegas in this interactive and engaging look at the past. 300 Stewart Ave, Las Vegas Nevada.
