Sandia Peak Tramway – In 15 minutes, ascend 3800 feet of drastic Sandia Mountains landscape.

Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum of Albuquerque  – An absolute must for kids. The exhibits are interactive and fun, great for the grown-up kid as well!

ABQ BioPark Zoo & Botanic Gardens – Spend a day exploring and see animals, gardens, fish, bugs, and more!

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center – It’s always great to learn about local cultural history while traveling, and this museum tells the story of the first settlers and many tribes of North America.

The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History  – This is an interesting and entertaining way of telling the history and timeline of significant scientists and their findings, there’s a separate kiddies section to make this museum appropriate for all ages.

Where to go from here

In state, check out the pine forests such as Gila National Forest & Lincoln National Forest. Or go see the ‘Four Corners’ which is where Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico meet. To the east are Texas, New Orleans, and Florida. And to the west, you have Arizona and the coast of California.
